A portrait of the Oscar-nominated animator and Independent filmmaker Bill Plympton. Includes interviews with family, friends, colleagues, critics, and fans. After working as an illustrator, his art featured in publications such as the New Yorker, Hustler, Penthouse and Playboy, Plympton turned to independent film. In 1988, Plympton was nominated for an Academy Award for his short film, “Your Face” and has since gone on to receive world wide distribution and critical acclaim for numerous short and feature films including “The Tune” (1992 ),“I Married a Strange Person” (1997), “Mutant Aliens” (2001), “Hair High” (2004) and “Idiots and Angels” (2008).
