During his senior year of college, artist John Cadigan had a psychotic break. He dropped out, cycled through a number of doctors and medications, then decided to film his agonizing struggle with mental illness. John invites audiences to tour the world inside his “beautiful mind” - a chaotic, paranoid and creative universe, where he struggles to know what is real. Over the decade-long course of his illness, he films his meltdowns and triumphs, his family and friends - shattering cultural notions of “madness.”
