Hart Perry (Director of Photography - Harlan County, USA), has documented the lives of Mexican-American migrant farm workers in Raymondville, TX since 1979 when the onion workers’ strike broke out. What followed was a fight not only for higher pay but also for equal rights and representation. For 24 years, the county’s Mexican-American residents were determined to fight for what is right. Valley of Tears is a complex story of the long journey of individuals who endure hardship in order to make a better future for their families.

The last American officials were airlifted out of Vietnam from the embassy roof in Saigon in 1975. Most have never returned. In 1998, World T.E.A.M. Sports organized a 1100-mile bicycle expedition through once war-torn Vietnam. The ride drew veterans from the U.S. and Vietnam, as well as riders like Greg La Monde and Senator John Kerry. What is immediately apparent on the veterans' arrival in Vietnam is that their biggest handicaps are the ghosts of their pasts. Past enemies ride as one team in peace across a landscape where they once killed to survive.

Botton Village - tucked away high on England's north Yorkshire moors - is part soap opera; part Village of the Damned. It's a bold social experiment where 136 special needs 'villagers' with learning difficulties live in a commune with 100 'co-workers'. Partly because of its isolation, Botton is a place of high emotion where outbursts of bizarre behavior are part of the routine and are benignly tolerated. Landmark Films was given remarkably free access to Botton and Village Life - filmed over a cold winter - is a truly extraordinary mix of conflict, emotion and weirdness. The film tracks a group of villagers through emotionally difficult events in their lives. It's an unusually 'pure' documentary and unfolds in a series of observed scenes, allowing special needs people to speak for themselves, unmediated by experts or educational therapists. The result is a film which is raw, direct, honest and provocative.
"A powerful documentary...it was uplifting, humbling, thought-provoking but never merely strange..." - Daily Telegraph

Elliot Gerard has one dream in life: To become a rapper. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite fit the criteria of the typical hip-hop lyricist as we have come to understand it today. For starters, he's White and Jewish. But he won't let that get in the way.
